| Is Micheaux's Learning Center open year-round? Micheaux's Learning Center is open year-round. We keep the same afternoon and evening schedule year-round and extend our hours during the summer months. What hours do you schedule your tutoring sessions? Micheaux's Learning Center has sessions scheduled Monday through Thursday at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00; Friday at 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00; and Saturday mornings at 9:00, 10:00,11:00, and 12:00. During the summer we have availability during the day on a first come first serve basis. Test Prep courses are scheduled according to group sizes normally four class per year. What makes Micheaux's Learning Center different from the competition? Micheaux's Learning Center is different from the competition because we provide the best tutoring for our students. Some of our students and parents prefer one-to-one tutoring, while others prefer a group setting, and with today's technology some prefer on-line sessions. We also provide curriculum based programs so each one of our programs are individualized for each student. Does MLC offer the help my child needs? Yes we do, we offer in-person and online tutoring to encourage confidence in all students. MLC tutors are helping children succeed in Math, Academic Reading, Test Prep, and more. Do MLC tutors work with the teachers or schools? Absolutely. Upon enrollment MLC will work in corporation with each student’s classroom teacher to ensure the progress made at MLC is also reflected in class work. How important is it to continue tutoring over the summer months? It is very important to continue tutoring over the summer months. Research shows that students lose about 2.5 months of what they learn during the school year if it is not reinforced during the summer months. In order for your child to achieve academically, it is necessary to continue tutoring over the summer months. What are your rates? At Micheaux's Learning Center, we offer competitive rates. Contact us for details. Are there any long-term commitment requirements? At Micheaux's Learning Center we do not require long-term commitments however; we do require our clients to sign a commitment for every thirty hours of tutoring.
